วันที่ 7 กุมภาพันธ์ 2567 เวลา 10.45 น. นายพิพัฒน์ รัชกิจประการ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน ร่วมคณะนายเศรษฐา ทวีสิน นายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการคลัง ให้การต้อนรับ สมเด็จมหาบวรธิบดี ฮุน มาแนต (Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet) นายกรัฐมนตรีราชอาณาจักรกัมพูชา ในโอกาสเดินทางเยือนประเทศไทยเพื่อเข้าเยี่ยมคารวะ และหารือข้อราชการด้านแรงงาน ซึ่งจากการหารือในครั้งนี้ นายเศรษฐา ทวีสิน นายกรัฐมนตรีของไทยยืนยันว่า รัฐบาลไทยได้ให้ความสำคัญในการดูแลแรงงานทุกสัญชาติที่เข้ามาทำงานในประเทศไทย รวมถึงแรงงานชาวกัมพูชาในประเทศไทยให้ได้รับการปฏิบัติที่เป็นธรรมและการรองรับความเสี่ยงทางเศรษฐกิจที่เหมาะสม ณ ตึกภักดีบดินทร์ ทำเนียบรัฐบาล
ในการนี้ สมเด็จมหาบวรธิบดี ฮุน มาแนต นายกรัฐมนตรีราชอาณาจักรกัมพูชา กล่าวว่า ทางการกัมพูชาขอขอบคุณนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐบาลไทยที่ให้ความสำคัญกับแรงงานกัมพูชาที่เข้ามาทำงานในประเทศไทย ซึ่งมีส่วนสำคัญในการขับเคลื่อนเศรษฐกิจไทย และขอให้ไทยอำนวยความสะดวกแรงงานกัมพูชาที่ต้องการกลับไปเยี่ยมบ้านในช่วงเทศกาลสงกรานต์ ซึ่งตรงกับปีใหม่ของกัมพูชาด้วย ด้านนายกรัฐมนตรีของไทยพร้อมนำไปพิจารณา และเน้นย้ำถึงการดูแลสวัสดิภาพของแรงงานในไทย และยินดีที่จะส่งเสริมให้แรงงานกัมพูชาเข้าถึงสิทธิประโยชน์และสวัสดิการทางสังคมของไทยด้วย
On February 7, 2024, at 10.45 hours, the Labour Minister, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, joined the delegation of the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Mr. Srettha Thavisin, to welcome the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, on the occasion of traveling to Thailand on a courtesy call, and to discuss government matters on labour. From this discussion, Thailand’s Prime Minister, Mr. Srettha Thavisin, confirmed that the Thai government places importance on taking care of workers of all nationalities who come to work in Thailand, including Cambodian workers, ensuring they receive fair treatment and appropriate economic risk management. The occasion took place at the Phakdee Bodin Building, Government House.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, said that the Cambodian authorities thanked the Thai Prime Minister and government for giving importance to Cambodian workers coming to work in Thailand, who play an important role in driving the Thai economy. He requested that Thailand facilitate Cambodian workers who wish to return to visit their homes during the Songkran festival, which also coincides with the Cambodian New Year. The Prime Minister of Thailand said he was ready to consider this. He emphasized caring for the welfare of workers in Thailand and was willing to promote Cambodian workers’ access to Thai social benefits and welfare as well.
