วันที่ 18 มกราคม 2567 นายพิพัฒน์ รัชกิจประการ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน เปิดเผยถึงความคืบหน้าการให้ความช่วยเหลือแรงงานไทยที่กลับจากอิสราเอลที่มายื่นคำร้องเพื่อขอรับเงินเยียวยาแรงงานไทยจากสถานการณ์ความไม่สงบในอิสราเอล รายละ 50,000 บาท ว่า หลังจากที่สำนักงบประมาณได้อนุมัติเงินงบประมาณโครงการเยียวยาฯ ตั้งแต่วันที่ 25 ธันวาคม 2566 ที่ผ่านมานั้น กระทรวงแรงงานได้เร่งดำเนินการจ่ายเงินเยียวยาฯให้ผู้มีสิทธิฯ ทันทีในวันที่ 27 ธันวาคม 2566 ดังนั้น จนถึงวันที่ 18 มกราคม 2567 รวมจำนวน 15 วัน กระทรวงแรงงานได้โอนเข้าบัญชีให้ผู้มีสิทธิหรือทายาทของแรงงานแล้ว จำนวน 1,210 ราย คิดเป็นจำนวนเงิน 60,500,000 บาท ซึ่งคาดว่าจะดำเนินการแล้วเสร็จไม่เกินเดือนกุมภาพันธ์ 2567 นี้
“ขอยืนยันว่า เจ้าหน้าที่กระทรวงแรงงานเร่งดำเนินการอย่างเต็มที่ ดำเนินการทันที และไม่ล่าช้า เพื่อให้พี่น้องแรงงานที่กลับจากอิสราเอลได้รับเงินเยียวยา 50,000 บาทโดยเร็วที่สุด ส่วนหนึ่งที่ยังไม่ได้รับเงินเนื่องจากบางรายเอกสารไม่สมบูรณ์ ยังไม่ได้เซ็นในเอกสาร จึงมีการส่งกลับไปให้แก้ไข ทั้งนี้ คาดว่าจะทยอยโอนเงินเยียวยาได้มากขึ้นวันละอย่างน้อย 250 – 300 ราย เพื่อให้ดำเนินการแล้วเสร็จให้ครบไม่เกินเดือนกุมภาพันธ์นี้”นายพิพัฒน์ กล่าว
ด้าน นายไพโรจน์ โชติกเสถียร ปลัดกระทรวงแรงงาน กล่าวเพิ่มเติมว่า การดำเนินการจ่ายเงินช่วยเหลือตามข้อสั่งการของท่านพิพัฒน์ รัชกิจประการ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงแรงงาน ผมและเจ้าหน้าที่ทุกท่านได้เร่งทำงานอย่างเต็มที่เพื่อให้แรงงานไทยได้รับสิทธิประโยชน์โดยเร็วที่สุด ในส่วนของความคืบหน้าค่าพาหนะเดินทางของแรงงานที่กลับจากอิสราเอล ซึ่งมีแรงงานไทยได้ติดต่อสอบถามมายังกระทรวงแรงงานเป็นจำนวนมากถึงเรื่องที่ยังไม่ได้รับเงินค่าเดินทางกลับจากอิสราเอลดังกล่าวนั้น เกี่ยวกับความคืบหน้าในเรื่องนี้ ขณะนี้ กระทรวงแรงงานได้ดำเนินการส่งคำร้องขอรับเงินค่าเดินทางฯ ไปยังกระทรวงการต่างเทศเรียบร้อยแล้ว จำนวน 4,729 คน จากจำนวนผู้มายื่นคำร้องตั้งแต่วันที่ 31 ตุลาคม 2566 – 15 มกราคม 2567 ทั้งสิ้น 5,012 คน จำแนกเป็น ค่าตั๋วเครื่องบิน 2,698 คน และค่าแท็กซี่ 3,699 คน
“ในการยื่นคำร้องขอรับค่าเดินทางกลับจากอิสราเอลนั้น กระทรวงแรงงานจะทำหน้าที่รับเรื่องของคนไทยทุกคนที่เดินทางกลับประเทศไทยเนื่องจากเหตุการณ์ความไม่สงบในอิสราเอล ทั้งกลุ่ม นักเรียน นักศึกษา และแรงงานไทย ซึ่งกระทรวงการต่างประเทศจะเป็นผู้พิจารณาค่าชดเชย/ค่าใช้จ่าย หลังจากยื่นเอกสารกับกระทรวงแรงงานแล้ว กระทรวงการต่างประเทศจะดำเนินการจ่ายค่าพาหนะให้แรงงานต่อไป” นายไพโรจน์ กล่าว

On January 18, 2024, the Labour Minister, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, spoke about the progress assisting Thai workers returning from Israel who submitted requests for 50,000 Baht compensation from the unrest in Israel. The applications followed the Budget Bureau’s approved budget on December 25, 2023, to provide relief. The Ministry of Labor expedited the payment to eligible workers immediately, starting on December 27, 2023. Until January 18, 2024, over a total of 15 days, the Ministry of Labour has already transferred the payment to 1,210 eligible persons or legal dependents, totaling over 60,500,000 Baht. The effort is expected to be completed by no later than February 2024.
“I would like to confirm that Ministry of Labour’s officials are accelerating the process, taking immediate action and without delay so that workers returning from Israel will receive the 50,000 Baht compensation as soon as possible. Part of the money has not been transferred as some documents are incomplete and haven’t been signed. Therefore, they have been sent back for correction. It is expected that more relief money will be gradually transferred to at least 250 to 300 people per day, and the process to be completed no later than February,” Mr. Phiphat said.
The Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. P้airoj Chotikasatian, added that in the payment of remedies following instructions by the Labour Minister, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, he and all officials have worked hard to ensure that the Thai workers receive benefits as quickly as possible. On transportation costs for workers returning from Israel, many Thai workers have contacted the Ministry of Labour to ask about the status of the payment for return travel expenses from Israel. On this matter, the Ministry of Labour has sent 4,729 requests for travel expenses to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The total number of applications from October 31, 2023, to January 15, 2024, was 5,012 people, comprising 2,698 requests for airplane tickets and 3,699 requests for taxi expenses.
“When applying for return travel expenses from Israel, the Ministry of Labour will receive the cases from the Thai people who have returned to Thailand from the unrest in Israel, including students and Thai workers. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will consider compensation/expenses. After submitting documents with the Ministry of Labor, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue with the payment of transportation expenses to the people,” said Mr. P้airoj.
